WORKING WITH OUR COMMUNITY

CareWays Community Hubs

What is the Community Support Service?

The Community Support service provides a resource
that connects people to information and services that promote community capacity building, increased resilience and improved safety in the community.

We have programs running out of Dapto
Neighbourhood Centre, Horsley Community Centre, Koonawarra Community Centre and Thirroul Neighbourhood Centre.

What Services Are Provided?

Our community support service provides assistance by providing information about services in the community, referrals to services in the community, assistance with documentation, letter writing, resume development and job applications.

Dapto Neighbourhood Centre programs are below, you can also see what programs are on at Horsley Community Centre,
Koonawarra Community Centre  and Thirroul Neighbourhood Centre .

Free Community Breakfast Program

Mondays & Thursdays: 8 am – 9:00 am

Dapto Ribbonwood Centre

93-109 Princes Highway, Dapto
(restarting 8th March 2021 at Dapto Ribbonwood Centre)

Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 8am  - 9:00am

Koonawarra Community Centre

36 Fowlers Road, Koonawarra

We run a FREE community breakfast program four times a week. This program enables local families and community members to enjoy a warm breakfast before taking on the tasks of everyday living. Youth attending the breakfast need to be accompanied by an adult and will receive a snack pack to take to school.

The Community Breakfast provides a great opportunity for socialising and peer support, as well as an avenue for obtaining information on areas of interest. This program is supported by a single worker and a number of volunteers. This way, the breakfast is always served up hot and delicious!
