CareWays Community has been providing services to the community for more than 35 years through in-home care and support for the elderly, Neighbourhood Centres and Youth Services.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Scheduling Officer to join our Community Care Team, based in Dapto NSW. This challenging role requires a committed individual, with excellent initiative, judgment and administrative ability.
About the role
This position reports to the Aged Care Senior Manager and is a permanent full-time position, working 8:30am -5pm Monday to Friday in the Dapto Office.
This position establishes, plans and coordinates rosters for the care workers, identifies roster gaps and ensures coverage for vacancies and roster cancellations. This position will also provide general administrative support to the Community Care Team when time permits.
We seek a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset, with rostering experience in Disability or Aged Care. If you have a background in rostering and a solid grasp of the community support sector, we want to hear from you.

About you
To be considered you must have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications at Certificate 3 level /and or 3 years’ experience working in a high-volume rostering position in the aged care or disability Sector
- Problem solving skills with the ability to think creatively
- Demonstrated ability to organise and priorities tasks, work effectively with minimal supervision and under pressure, problem solve and meet deadlines and use resources effectively and efficiently
- Understanding and awareness of industrial instruments in relation to rostering employee
- Demonstrated flexibility to accommodate changing needs and/or situations as they arise day to day
- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent data entry and computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Working with children check
- COVID-19 Booster Vaccination
- Experience with Visual Care (desirable)
